BEACON 2025

The second Biennial European Astrobiology Conference (BEACON) will take place at the Harpa Conference Centre in Reykjavik, Iceland from 1-5 July 2025. During this meeting also the 7th General Assembly of the EAI will take place.

 

The meeting will be open to all interested scientists and students from Europe and beyond.

Abstract submission

The abstract deadline has passed, but we can accept late abstracts for posters until May 31st.   

Please use the Abstract form (button below) to compose your abstract. Send the abstract to wgeppert@fysik.su.se. There is no limit to the number of abstract per person.

Deadline for late registration is 31 May 2025. Please adress all questions regarding registration and payment to the ESF: eai@esf.org and NOT to the EAI chair (he cannot help you)!

Registration and accommodation booking

Please use the registration link (button below) to register and book accommodation - information about accommodation is on the "Venue & Accommodation" webpage. Accommodation prices are for arrival on June 30th and departure on July 6th. Deadline for late registration is 31 May 2025.

Refunds: Unfortunately, due to high cancellation fees often up to 100% we cannot refund any registration fees or money for accommodation and excursions bookings after the 31st of March 2025.

Registration fees include:

  • Morning and afternoon coffee breaks
  • Finger food buffet during two (2) poster sessions at two evenings
  • Conference material

Please note that the registration with an accommodation option constitutes an accommodation booking. In case of cancellation or no-show, cancellation fees up to 100 % of the total booking costs will be charged.

Registration deadline is the March 31st, 2025. After that, paid registration fees will not be refunded.  We recommend a travel insurance for that case.
