BEACON 2025

The second Biennial European Astrobiology Conference (BEACON) will take place at the Harpa Conference Centre in Reykjavik, Iceland from 1-5 July 2025. During this meeting also the 7th General Assembly of the EAI will take place.

 

The meeting will be open to all interested scientists and students from Europe and beyond.

Abstract submission

Please use the Abstract form (button below) to compose your abstract. Send the abstract to wgeppert@fysik.su.se. Deadline for abstract submission is the 15 February 2025 23:59 UTC.

Bursaries are available for students and early career researchers (whose Ph.D. in an astrobiology-related field was awarded later than 15 February 2017) from institutions participating in the EAI (see a list here).

If you wish to apply for a bursary, please mention this in email accompanying your abstract. Bursaries will cover

  • the registration fee
  • a bed in a multiple room at the Loft hostel with en-suite facilities

Abstract submitters will be informed about the outcome of the selection process soon after the deadline.

  • Morning and afternoon coffee breaks
  • Finger food buffet during two (2) poster sessions at two evenings

Please note that the registration with an accommodation option constitutes an accommodation booking. In case of cancellation or no-show, cancellation fees up to 100 % of the total booking costs will be charged.

Registration deadline is the March 31st, 2025. After that, paid registration fees will not be refunded.  We recommend a travel insurance for that case. Payment links will soon be available here!
