Astrobioethics is the study of the ethical implications of research derived from astrobiology. In other words, it deals with the moral dimension of space exploration, which concerns everything related to the possible presence of life in the universe, or our expansion to other worlds. Therefore, there are some questions arising from this situation: are we the guardians of life in the universe, what would be the ethical implications of discovering microbial life on Mars, are we about to become a true multiplanetary species, will overcoming biogeocentrism be the way to a more universal ethics? These and other related topics will be the subject of analysis in this presentation.
