Michaël Gillon
Michaël Gillon holds degrees in biochemistry and astrophysics. His research work is mostly dedicated to the detection and study of transiting exoplanets, with a special focus on potentially habitable planets amenable for atmospheric characterization. He initiated and leads the projects ExoTRAPPIST and SPECULOOS. He led the detection of the TRAPPIST-1 system and is strongly involved in the study of its seven Earth-sized planets.
