I have a background in Microbial Ecology. My primary interest is planetary habitability, and I am currently focusing on Martian surface processes with focus on the effect of wind-driven saltation of minerals on the reactivity of the surface. Together with my colleagues of our interdisciplinary Mars-group, I also study if this mechanism also effects the composition of the Martian atmosphere. Here we focus on CO2 and methane.
