Bursaries

There is no registration fee for the event but participants will have to pay for their own accommodation, meals and lodging. Bursaries of EUR 100 per day attended  plus one day for travel (covering almost the whole costs for a shared double room and the meals) are available for early career scientists and students (below an age of 40) affiliated to institutions in COST countries. 

 

Registration

To register and book accommodation for the spring school, plese perform the following steps until February 20th, 2026:

1. Fill in the registration form (can be downloaded as ,doc and pdf files) and send it as attachment to wgeppert@fysik.su.se. Please note tht sending the form constitutes a booking for accommodation an meals and in case of cancellation after 20 February 2026 and no-show, cancellation fees up to 100% can be charged, 

2. Pay the stipulated fees (see below) to the following account:

Deadline for registration is 20 February 2026

3. You have to pay the fee in Czech crowns. Do not use conversion rates from the web, these are usually equilebrium prices. ON SEPA use option OUR if sending the foreign payment, soyou take the cost of the transfer.

4.  In case you need an invoice to an institution please send a request with the following information to Eva Zdarska from the Czech Acedemy of Sciences (eva.zdarska@asu.cas.cz ):

COST usually does not ask you for invoices and receipts for meals and stays. But please note that COST also CANNOT refund institutions, only individuals.  Also keep the receipts for travels since yo need those for claining the bursaries. 

 5. Holders of bursaries will be refunded EUR 100,- per attended  plus at least one day for their expenses for meals and accommodation. We, unfortunately, cannot refunnsesd you for travel expenses.

6. Please note  all payments will be handled by the Czech Academy of Sciences. Requests about payments should be addressed to Eva Zdarska from the Czech Acedemy of Sciences (eva.zdarska@asu.cas.cz).

7. Neither COST nor myself will ask you for any money. We also DO NOT work with travel agencies. Messages requesting money from other entities than the Czech Academy of Sciences should be disregarded.
