Main Research Interest:  astrobiology, habitability, biosignatures, technosignatures

My current main research interest is the study of habitable conditions outside Earth, especially in the galactic context. In 2017, I co-authored a pioneering study on the possible effect of the supermassive black hole at the center of the Milky Way on planetary habitability throughout the Galaxy. I am also interested in statistical issues related to future exoplanetary surveys, and in the possibility of finding technosignatures, i.e., remote evidence of technological activity on exoplanets.
