The meeting “Commercial Space Exploration and Travel – Chances and Risks” will bring scientists, students, politicians, journalists and other stakeholders together to discuss the ethical, political legal, societal and environmental aspects of commercial space travel.
It will take place at Malmfälten Adult Education Centre in Kiruna, Sweden in from September 25th, 2023 in the morning to September 27th, 2023 in the evening. Apart from offering a very interesting programme, the meeting will take place during Lapland’s very beautiful Indian Summer, which enables good opportunities to see the Northern Lights.

The programme starts on Monday September, 25th in the morning and ends on Thy May,12th in the evening. We will have 35 minutes invited talks (+ 10 minutes discussion) and contributed talks lasting 25 minutes (+ 5 minutes discussion).
On Tuesday 26th we will organise a half day’s excursion to ESRANGE Rocket Launch Centre and the Sami (indigenous) Open Air Museum at Jukkasjärvi with a traditional Northern Swedish dinner.
Deadline for Registration, abstract submission AND accommodation booking (which has to be done individually by participants directly with the hotels) will be 31 July 2023.

The meeting is open to all interested scientists, students and other stakeholders, but the organisers reserve the right to remove participants if they do not conduct themselves professionally, or harass other participants.
